Linda Flores is a photographer based in Austin, TX. She graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2006 with a BFA in advertising photography, and has been on a constant creative adventure ever since. Her focus is in studio and on-location lighting.
While Linda has a particular passion in portraiture and still-life work, she always carries a camera around and always keeps an eye out for inspiration for future work. She posts many of these pictures on her photo blog: www.djlindalovely.com. Many of her shots come from her daily life around Austin and the many places she travels to.
In 2009 Linda began covering SXSW for the music blog Stereogum. She has had the amazing opportunity to shoot everyone from The Black Keys to P. Diddy. She has just finished her 3rd year working for Stereogum, and looks forward to future SXSWs. Linda shoots live music with the rhythmic styling of a drummer. She attributes that to the fact that she actually is a drummer in a band called Old News.
In 2010 she released the debut issue of Glim. The magazine features artists around the Austin area as well as local businesses, including such artists as John Weber and small businesses such as Zhi Tea. You can find the first issue online at: www.magcloud.com/browse/Issue/13070
In 2012 Linda finally obtained a studio space. Located at 610 N-I 35, between sixth and seventh street in downtown Austin, the studio is 2500 sq ft with high ceilings and plenty of equipment. She shares the studio with Jeanette Warner
. The space is also for rent, if interested please email rentals@dirtysixthstudios.com
Linda and Jeanette have also decided to use the space to the max. They've joined their creative and technical skills and have started a boudoir photography business together. You can set up an appointment, and look at their boudoir portfolio here.
